1. Travel Report
This destination is perfect for everyone, regardless of age. It offers a ton of things to see and do, ensuring that you won’t feel bored even for a moment. The entrance fee is reasonable, and if you have multiple children, you can even get a 50% discount, making it a great budget-friendly choice for families!

2. Key Information for Your Visit
Nolleogal Lab’s Travel Tips!
I’ve gathered some essential tips to help you get the most out of your visit. With these, you’ll enjoy your trip to the National Ecology Center even more!

📌 Essential Travel Tips
Programs to Check Out:
- Ant Exploration:
Daily at 10:00, 13:00, 14:30, and 16:00, there’s a fascinating lecture about ants. You can book in advance, especially on weekends when spots fill up quickly. This is perfect for kids above kindergarten age! - Carbon Neutrality Talk:
Learn about climate change and carbon neutrality. This talk is available four times daily, at the same times as the Ant Exploration program.
Parking:
- The Eco-Rium parking lot is slightly farther, so expect a 10-minute walk to the entrance. If you have a young child, bring a stroller!
Admission Fees:
- Adults: 5,000 KRW
- Teens: 3,000 KRW
- Children: 2,000 KRW
Free for children under 4 years old
Annual Passes:
- If you plan to visit more than four times a year, consider getting an annual pass:
- Adults: 20,000 KRW
- Kids (5-12 years): 8,000 KRW
You can also get discounts if you’re a local resident or have multiple children!
3. Exploring the National Ecology Center
Even though the weather was a bit gloomy and rain was forecasted, I was relieved that it didn’t actually rain!
The Eco-Rium is the main attraction here, and if you’re aiming to explore quickly, the West Entrance near the Seocheon Junction is the best route.
I recommend using the Eco-Rium Parking Lot near Janghang Station as it’s closer.

Opening hours:
- 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM (Last entry 1 hour before closing)
- Closed on Mondays (except for holidays like May 5)
We arrived early, and since the weather wasn’t great, the crowds were light in the morning. If you want a peaceful visit, I’d recommend coming earlier.

4. Nearby Attractions
If you have time, here are some great spots you can check out near the National Ecology Center (within a 10-minute drive):
- Geumgang Future Experience Center
- Gunsan Modern History Museum
- Gyeongam-dong Railway Village
These attractions are all close by and are great for combining with your visit to the National Ecology Center!
